Children's Mental Health & Wellbeing
Helping children understand their emotions, build confidence and develop tools for life.
Children and young people can experience worry, overwhelm, low confidence, friendship difficulties and big changes, often without the tools to understand what they're feeling or know what to do about it.
Jenny's work focuses on what children already have rather than what's "wrong", helping them understand themselves, recognise their strengths and build practical tools they can use now and as they grow. Support is available for individual children and families, and for schools and community groups.
Next Generation Mental Health Empowerment Programme (MEMs)
MEMs is a 1:1 mentoring programme for children and young people aged 4 to 18. It isn't counselling or therapy. It's a child-led programme that gives children practical tools to understand and manage their own emotional wellbeing.
The programme runs over six weekly sessions, which can be extended if needed, and is tailored to each child.
Depending on what they need, sessions may cover:
-
Understanding emotions and how they show up in the body
-
Worry, anxiety and overwhelm
-
Calming and self-regulation techniques
-
Confidence and self-belief
-
Friendships and boundaries
-
Coping with change
-
Recognising strengths and building resilience
Sessions use talking, creative activities, games, mindfulness, breathwork and movement.
Each child finishes with their own toolkit of techniques they know they can turn to.

What parents say
"We have seen such a growth in her confidence since starting the MEMs programme with Jenny. When we asked her to describe herself, she said: 'I'm confident being myself.' Something she wasn't before. Now she's walking into school with her head held high."
– Pam, parent of a 12-year-old
"My daughter has taken away some helpful techniques she uses to help her self-regulate. It has also helped her to understand her self-worth and positively impacted on how she views herself."
– Amy, parent of a 10-year-old
Schools & groups
Group sessions and workshops for schools, community groups and other organisations, tailored to the children involved. Themes include confidence, emotional wellbeing, managing worry, mindfulness, friendships, resilience and transitions.
Transitions are a particularly important time for extra support. Jenny has delivered confidence-building sessions for Year 6 classes preparing to move to secondary school, giving children practical tools to manage nerves and approach the change more positively.
If there's a specific issue you'd like to address in your school or group, get in touch.
Magical Mindfulness
Jenny is also the author of the Magical Mindfulness book series, which introduces children to breathing, grounding and visualisation through stories. The books are often used within her school and group sessions.
Support before crisis point
Children shouldn't have to reach crisis point before they're given tools to understand their emotions, calm themselves, ask for help and build confidence. These are skills they can carry into their teenage years and adulthood.
Whether you're a parent, school or organisation, Jenny is happy to talk through what you're looking for.
